This is my Bleach OC, Kawanabe Hiwari, and the whole thing was done for 's Bleach OC contest C:

I really like the picture, even though the pose is very run of the mill and the hand looks kinda strange But I think I outdid myself with the coloration this time :3 And I'm pretty pleased with her Zanpakuto, too...

Personality:
Hiwari is very companionable, likes to chat and gets bored very easily when no one else is around. She doesn’t like to make decisions and tends to shirk responsibility, but if the worst comes to the worst she is an opponent to be reckoned with none the less. She becomes jealous very easily and is especially envious of Matsumoto Rangiku for her looks and her hence resulting popularity with the boys, a matter of fact she would never admit but is plain for everyone to see because of Hiwari’s behavior towards the 10th Divionsion’s Vice-Captain.
Hiwari is also very inquisitive when it comes to things from the living world.

History:
When she was still a child Hiwari lived together with her older brother Kanetsu in the 39th district of East-Rukongai until the latter decided to become a Shinigami after both got attacked by a Hollow and just barely survived. After Kanetsu joined the academy he showed to be a student of great talent, which was why after entering the Gotei 13 he soon became a seated officer and several years later he finally became the vice-captain of the 6th division under Captain Ginrei Kuchiki.
But a few years later Kanetsu suddenly vanished without a trace. Since no one could tell Hiwari what had happened to her brother she joined the Shinigami-Academy because she thought that she could find out more about his whereabout by becoming a shinigami herself, but even though she entered Gotei 13 after graduation and even became part of the same division her brother was in she couldn’t find any hints of why he vanished. Nevertheless she kept on searching, ignoring the people who started telling her that he may be dead already. After a lot of hard work she finally became the 3rd seat which she is still today, even though she has been asked to become the Vice-Captain of 6th Division two times, but according to her accepting the rank her brother once held would be the same as accepting that he is dead. (And besides, the mere thought of the responsibilities of a Vice-Captain makes her feel queasy, another reason why she prefers being ‘only’ the 3rd seat)

Zanpakuto Information

Name: Akitsubame (autumn swallow)
Normal Appearance: In its sealed state it looks like a normal Katana with a light green hilt, a dark green sheath and a rectangular guard.
Materialized Form: The materialized form of Akitsubame is a tall girl with brown eyes and long green hair. She wears a green and white dress that ends in what resembles a swallowtail. She is cheerful and likes to banter Hiwari about her jealousy of Rangiku, but she will get sulky herself if Hiwari speaks well of other Zanpakutos.

Shikai Form: A long staff with two metal fans on both ends
