The war had ended. Aizen managed to escape, but was declared as dead. Soifon`s squad is chasing him secretly to finally get desired revenge for all of his crimes. But you shoild always expect him to have a plan B...
2. Story
Long time ago, when all the shinigami worked apart, there were no Soul Society or Hell, there was just a river, where all the souls were sent after death. No matter, how much bad things they did, in their afterlife everybody was considered as sinners and punished equally. Equal pain and sorrow waited for them after the death. Thy were turning into mindless mass, being the only source of energy that sustained the world order. The right to rule the death belonged only to Thanatos, the Elder God of death, merciless, chaotic creature. He was the one, who filled the river of the death with souls to the rim. He also was the one, who ruled the first shinigami. But they had enough of this pointless tyrany and he was overthrown a

I thought it sounded really interesting, and I wanted to give it a go too. I hope I did well?
I know I might have to change some stuff, especially his backstory because I have to admit I got a little confused about it, ahaha ;w; But we'll see... have some info for now~

2. Aspect of death (and why did you choose it)

Morbus (Illness) - It was pretty much the first thing I had a decent idea for, and I thought it could be interesting soooo… yeah. That’s it actually.

3. Bio

Before Contagio became what he is today he used to be known as Haruno Nogeshi, an unseated officer of Squad 4. As a child he had a very severe case of pneumia, leaving him chronically ill and with a weak body for the rest of his life. Before that he had always wanted to become a Shinigami, and at one point he heard of a Shinigami that was a Captain despite having a sickly constitution, so he ignored all the people telling him he’d be no good and enrolled at the Shinigami Academy.

He was a hard-working student and got good grades at the theoretical subjects, but when it came to physical training he got exhausted quickly and only barely passed. Since he was also fairly good at Kido he got put into Squad 4 after graduation. Even though there was one particular group of Shinigami from different Squads that would always give him a hard time because of his illness he didn’t complain, but was glad that he could finally be useful to other people.

During the war he was out on the battlefield, trying to save as many wounded as he could. He eventually encountered the group of Shinigami that had always looked down on him, and they were severly wounded and close to death. Even though his body was already exhausted and it gave him a feeling of satisfaction seeing them like this, his pride as a healer got the better of him and instead of turning away he started healing them. Just when he finished treating the last oft them they got attacked and Nogeshi collapsed from exhaustion, but instead of helping him in return for saving their lifes the group of Shinigami simply abandoned him.

He somehow managed to get away himself and went into hiding, but even after his body recovered he didn't go back to his Squad and was officially considered missing.

4. Appearance

Contagio is not very tall but extremely lank and skinny. His hair is a shade of dark green, and in addition to his pale complexion his skin is also always blotched with what looks like a nasty purple rash. He constantly has bags under his yellow eyes, sunken cheeks, and always wears a surgical mask that coverst he lower half of his face. So in short, he is what most people would consider unhealthy-looking.

4. Personality (maybe with some tiny details that you felt you should mention)

Contagio is quite a stoic person. He only talks when necessary and stays calm most oft he time. When he does get agitated he suffers from coughing fits that won’t stop until he has calmed down, so he has learned to keep his cool even in dire situations.

What he lacks in brawn he makes up with brain, being fairly intelligent and a good tactician which compensates for his lack of actual fighting power on the battle field. He will always think before acting because he’s well aware that that’s the only way for him to survive in a fight.

He’s also extremely proud and selfish and unlike his former self doesn’t care about other people anymore.

Since his previous self got discriminated and picked on due to his ill constitution he kinda made it his personal crusade to spread his disease and infect as many people as possible, making everyone „equal“ in terms of how healthy they are. It’s his twisted version of „justice“ and he firmly believes that it’s the right thing to do.


5. Abilities (according to typical shinigami ones + unique ones)

His body has developed antibodies for pretty much every disease there is, which is also the reason why he’s not affected by Pestilentia‘s ability and which also makes his own blood the only effective cure against the disease caused by his Shikai.

Apart from this he’s able to use kido and other Shinigami techniques to some extent.


6. Weaknesses

Since he’s physically weak and has low stamina he completely relies on his Shikai’s power in order to win a fight. His only chance of beating someone is by weakening his opponent before he finishes him off with a clean hit, so if you avoid the mist and/or take away his sword, he’s practically defenseless, apart from some kido, and an easy opponent to deal with.

He’s also very sensible to loud noises and bright lights.

7. Zampaktou

Pestilentia (Plague) - In Shikai, his Zanpakuto emits a purple mist that spreads disease, and anyone except himself who gets in contact with that mist will fall critically ill. The speed and severity of the infection depends on the persons current health, but it’s usually so aggressive that the desease breaks out within minutes. If not treated the victim will fall into a coma and die eventually.
